Adjustablity

On the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR, adjustability isn't a nice-to-have feature. It's essential when trying to tame this rip-roaring BEAST. Besides its stellar WP PRO COMPONENT suspension, the handlebar and shifting and braking controls are fully adjustable, including a reverse shift pattern and a custom shift lever throw.

Bodywork

The KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR takes compactness to the next level. Not only is it a full 11kg lighter than the BEAST it's based upon, but it's also meaner and more muscular. KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR bristles with aero winglets for added stability at speed, more carbon for stiffness, and a new-look LED headlight, with a sleeker, more aggressive front-end stare.

LED Headlight

Burning a deep hole into the darkness is a predatory LED headlight giving the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR an even meaner face. With signature daytime running lights that automatically adjust in intensity according to the ambient light conditions, an automatic low beam that stays illuminated for a few seconds after the ride is done, and a welcoming headlight animation display when turned on, the warning is clear.

Engine

The KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR is a torque-hungry, epically powerful, and exciting BEAST. Boasting new CAMSHIFT technology, a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, and nuclear power station outputs of 190 PS and 145 Nm of torque, this is the latest and fully revised version of the bellowing LC8 V-twin engine. What that means is that the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR doesn't propel itself forward; rather, it spins the world below it.

Air Intake

A proven ram air system for a more direct air flow, and a new airbox means the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR breathes like THE BEAST it is. With approximately 10 liters of airbox capacity, it consumes oxygen like a cheetah at full pace, while the design ensures easy maintenance when the need arises.

Ride Modes

The KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR is ready for total domination, thanks to 8 individual RIDE Modes as standard. With STREET Mode set as the default, riders have full power, traction control, and limited front wheel lift, with an easy throttle response. In a step-up, SPORT Mode sharpens throttle response and allows for some wheel slip, while RAIN Mode does what it says on the box, providing maximum traction control and reduced power to 130 PS. TRACK Mode cranks the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR up another notch, providing enhanced rider customization and unlimited superbike-scaring ability plus 3 additional Custom Ride Modes for complete customization options. And then there's BEAST MODE.

BEAST MODE

You wanted to unleash the BEAST. You got it! Taking the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR to a SUPER DUKE R Arrrrrgh!, BEAST MODE embodies the SUPER DUKE RR in full character, with all possible distractions on screen reduced to the max - showing nothing else but your speed. Additionally, BEAST MODE purposefully disables all adjustable settings, dialing them back to as low as legally allowed. This is FULL FURY UNLEASHED!

Telemetry Screen & Lap Timer

A new telemetry screen can be found in TRACK Mode. Here, riders can keep an eye on lean angles, G-forces, and a lap timer function. When selecting TRACK Mode, the Lap Timer is visualized in the display, with the rider starting or stopping the time by clicking the high beam button.

TFT Display & Connectivity

Welcome to the best user interface in the segment. An 8.8-inch landscape TFT display further elevates the class-leading user experience. Featuring an inductive touchscreen that works with both winter gloves and bare hands, with enhanced readability thanks to Anti-Reflex, Anti-Fingerprint, and Anti-Glare coatings, with a 256,000 color capability, light sensor, status LED, and upgraded Trips 2.0 interface improve usability. Offline map navigation is also standard on this model.

Ergonomics

Let's not mince words. The KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR is a 100%, hardcore, and dominant performance machine. For that reason, it is ergonomically styled for sporty riding. The tank is angled slightly outwards, providing more support under braking, as well as better contact while knee-down on the apex. The handlebar is also lower for improved control without compromising comfort. And let's not forget the levels of adjustability for added rider-focus.

Seat

Held up by an ultra-lightweight single-piece carbon fiber undertray, the adjustable single seat fitted on the 1390 SUPER DUKE RR is developed for maximum grip while allowing the rider to move freely on the bike. The seat shape and seat foam provide good levels of comfort for both long track sessions and hard charges on the street. No pillions were considered in the making of this model!

Tank

At 17,5 liters, the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR's tank is 1,5 liters larger than its predecessor. THE BEAST can extend its range to 300 km, while added winglets increase downforce and reduce front-wheel lift. It's smart too, incorporating KTM's signature RACE ON fuel cap for keyless fill-ups.

Frame

The frame uses the engine to increase torsional rigidity, making the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR extremely precise. Paired with all the other weight-saving efforts and race-level suspension package, this allows for an effortless, confidence-inspiring riding position that translates into an ultimately faster ride. This is achieved by maximizing the feedback from the chassis and the front tire. The frame also uses thick-walled, high-diameter tubes for optimal stiffness and weight.

Fork

This is where things get serious. Upfront, the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR boasts a WP PRO COMPONENTS Closed Cartridge spring fork, which not only greatly improves the performance and response of the front end have been developed to the highest level of racing. The cartridge system has no hydraulic stroke limitation, meaning that you can continually control the damping properties and finely tune the fully adjustable compression and rebound damping to your specific high-speed, track-attack needs.

Rear Shock

The latest WP PRO COMPONENTS Shock is custom-made for the KTM1390 SUPER DUKE RR. It provides almost limitless possibilities for individual adjustment while offering superior grip for earlier acceleration and excellent rear stability. It has been developed in collaboration with the current World Championship and factory riders and the latest racing know-how.

Wheels and Tires

Forget the stock wheels on the standard KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R. These 7-spoke, lightweight, forged wheels are designed in the style of the RC16 MotoGP bike. They are also 1,5 kilograms lighter than the original, and fitted with ultra-grippy Michelin Power GP tires, offering the best mix of track performance and street comfort.

Brakes

Brembo HyPure Sport front brake calipers brace the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE RR's front end. The MCS (multiple-click system) hand brake lever offers increased adjustability, reduced lever force, lighter weight, and a more consistent pressure point. This is paired with a set of floating 320 mm discs, while the rear uses a twin-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm disk. Additionally, the Brembo brake and clutch cylinders feature a self-venting system, which eliminates the need to bleed the hydraulic systems and provides maximum braking performance.
